Today In Tech History - April 10th

Technology hasn't always meant the latest smartphone or laptop...to the human race technology has arrived at different times and in different ways throughout our history. We have "invented" things that solved a problem, prevented a problem, or just down right made life easier. What you will find below is a perfect example.
On April 10th, 1849 a patent was granted to a man named Walter Hunt from the state of New York. Patent #6281 was for a little device called the safety pin. This little object has changed American life over the last 150 years. From not sticking our prom date while pinning her corsage on, to those last second alterations to a wedding dress...this little guy has helped us with thousands of tasks.
Thank you Mr. Hunt
