Rep. Kathryn Swan invited to the White House Convening of State Education Leaders
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- State Representative Kathryn Swan (R-Cape Girardeau) has been invited by the White House to participate in a Convening of State Education Leaders on Tuesday, December 8,
2015. Swan will join education committee chairs and senior education policy staff from other states to collaborate and brainstorm vital education issues.
State education leadership will hear from U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan; incoming Acting U.S. Secretary of Education, John King; and Senior Officials from the White House and U.S. Department of Education.
Topics for panel discussion and breakout sessions include:

* High School Redesign
* Dual Enrollment
* Computer Science
* College Opportunity and Affordability
* College Scorecard
* Early FAFSA
