Kathy Swan
Kathryn Swan was elected to serve District 147 in the Missouri House of Representatives in November 2012. She serves on the following committees: Elementary and Secondary Education, Higher Education, Appropriations-Education, Workforce Development and Workforce Safety, and the Special Standing Committee on Emerging Issues in Health Care. She also serves on the Majority Whip Team and the Speaker's Advisory Committee.

FRESHMAN LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR FOR EDUCATION ISSUES

Proud to receive the Freshman Legislator of the Year Award for Education Issues! HB 1689 - my Early Childhood bill - passed the House with overwhelming approval yesterday!

Also Truly Agreed To & Finally Passed HB 1454 - my wireless telecom bill and successfully handled three Senate bills : SB 527 (Radiation safety awareness), SB 567 (Adult day care) and SB 650 (Wireless telecom)

What a session! I sincerely thank you for your phone calls, emails, letters, encouraging words and support.
