Swan Receives Freedometer Award from Concerned Women for America

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. --Rep. Kathryn Swan, (R-Cape Girardeau) was recently presented the Freedometer Award for her work on pro-life legislation from the Concerned Women for America.

Swan is the sponsor of HB 1478, the Women's Healthcare Protection Act. The bill would require an increase in inspections of abortion facilities and was prompted by numerous violations at the St. Louis Planned Parenthood facility.

The public hearing for HB 1478 has been completed with Missouri Right to Life, Campaign Life Missouri, and Missouri Family Network testifying in favor of the bill.
