Two Education Bills Filed This Week - Early Childhood & Teacher Compensation
Two bills filed this week: HB 1657 - Teacher Compensation & HB 1689 - Early Childhood
HB 1657 would give more local control to school boards regarding teacher compensation.

The flexibility would greatly assist school districts in recruiting and retaining teachers for subjects in which there is a teacher shortage.
HB 1689 would allow a school district to receive state aid for 3-4 year olds participating in an early childhood education program.
