I'm concentrating on Neal Boyd, but that big fuel tank might be out of the river later; Chaffee's water

Posted 4 p.m. Tuesday You'll notice I'm posting pretty late today. Man, it's been a busy day. Much of my time has been taken up getting prepared for the implementation of a new service here on seMissourian.com which will allow us to send text message alerts on news and sports to your cell phone. Should be pretty righteous. I'll let you know more later. But for now, I'm pretty much fixated on the story of Neal E. Boyd. As promised, we have the full versions of interviews with Boyd and Matthew Piazzi on our "America's Voice" website. They were both fun interviews, and we've gotten some nice reviews of them. The Boyd interview wasn't there for a while this morning due to a glitch in our system, but it's there now, complete with audio. We also had an seMissourian.com user post her own story about Boyd. I'll be leading a live chat during "America's Got Talent" tonight (7 p.m., NBC) on the Boyd site from the community watch party at Southeast Missouri State University. If you're reading this Wednesday morning, you can find out what happened last night by clicking the "America's Voice" link above.
Piazzi will be on Sept. 2. The big fuel tank saga continues Remember that big fuel tank that washed up in the river on Friday, causing a bit of a water traffic hazard? It's still there, and it appears to have been sinking. However, the tank might be leaving our lovely waters soon. Reporter Rudi Keller says barges are out in the river, equipped to carry that sucker somewhere else. But the sight of the tank has amazed locals for days. I'll be kind of sad to see it go. Chaffee's water Peg McNichol is following Chaffee's water problems today, including the latest news that the city's under a boil water order. Apparently the Missouri Department of Natural Resources has found some problems with the way things are operating there. Peg should have more details later. But this makes me wonder: What's your water quality like? This summer, my water's been pretty hard, though probably not dangerous. Sounds like time for another poll. Also, leave any comments about your water.
