Good times coming your way
The summer music festival season is almost here, and local super-promoters Bloom Heavy are having a ball.
The Mudstomp Ball, coming up next Friday, April 20, will feature a bevy of bands looking to get you up and dancing. Mountain Sprout, the Ben Miller Band, the Whistle Pigs, the Big Idea, Mockingbird and Tyrannosaurus Chicken will give Bel Air patrons something to hoop about. Expect more news about the Bloom Heavy crew in the future ... they've been working hard to put together some excellent shows around these parts.
Next weekend will also feature "Young Frankenstein" at Bedell Performance Hall April 22. Earl and Margie Holland, for whom the Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts at Southeast is named, have selected the production, based on the Oscar-nominated hit movie, as their special choice event this season at the River Campus. Get your tickets now at the River Campus box office or online at www.rivercampusevents.com.
That being said, this weekend is chock full of interesting things to do, as well (check out www.semoevents.com for tons of ideas). The Storytelling Festival, going all weekend, is always a unique experience. And don't forget the Mother Earth Wholistic Fair at the VFW Hall Saturday if you're looking for a more natural brand of fun.
