Pro-fracking movie to be shown in Cape

"FrackNation," a recently-released documentary about the positives of drilling for oil and natural gas using hydraulic fracturing, is set for a free local showing at a Cape Girardeau hotel on Aug. 13.

The conservative group Americans For Prosperity is promoting the film showing locally through press releases to activist groups.

AFP states in a release that "there's been a lot of misinformation, particularly from the radical environmentalists" about fracking.

Another documentary, "Gasland" attempts to show a negative side of the process. The Associated Press just yesterday described the two films as "dueling documentaries."

The Cape Girardeau showing of "FrackNation" will be at 6 p.m. on Aug. 13 at the Holiday Inn Express at 3253 William St.

Josh Fox,who did the documentaries on the negative affects of fracking, just wanted to know how it would affect his farm in Pennsylvania. The Koch brother billionaires' fortunes are tied up in oil and gas and of course they want to convince us it is ok, just like all the oil spills are ok and the pollution from the internal combustion engine is ok!

When your tap water catches fire, it probably is NOT ok!!!
