Support from outside the state is again coming to the campaign of Republican Ed Martin.
Martin is seeking to unseat Attorney General Chris Koster, a Democrat, in the November general election.
Last month Martin received endorsement from Texas Governor Rick Perry when Perry stopped in Columbia, Mo. Florida Senator Marco Rubio also showed support for Martin recently at a private St. Louis fundraiser.
Martin's campaign announced Tuesday that Kentucky Senator Rand Paul will appear with Martin at two campaign events later this month.
Paul and Martin will appear for events in Springfield and Cape Girardeau on Oct. 29, according to a release from Martin's campaign. Times and locations of the appearances have not yet been released.
Perry was also in Cape Girardeau in June to stump for Martin.
Martin plans to attend this weekend's Annual Old Fashioned Family Picnic in Cape Girardeau hosted by U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, along with guests Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, Auditor Tom Schweich, gubernatorial candidate Dave Spence and state Treasurer candidate Cole McNary.
