  • This article, while interesting, fails to see the larger point. By covienently limiting it self to the last five years, it fails to take into account the underlying problems created in the preceding years that led to the system we have today.

    1. NSA wholesale spying would not have been possible without the PATRIOT ACT which was passed through Congress as a response to 9/11.

    2. If the author feels that healthcare has become a government problem I am sure that he will feel the same way about Medicare and Social Security both healthcare provided by the government for the people. The real problem with the Affordable Care Act is not that it's a government takeover, it's the fact that it fails to provide health care to every citizen.

    And lastly and most laughable of all is the failure of the author to understand that if the United States were turning into a communist state then the Administration would by now be in control, not only of the means of production but also the assets that major cooperations make, yet I don't see the Obama administration owning Coca Cola :)
