Thank You "Government Dearest" for All You've Done.
Thank you "government dearest" first and foremost for replacing the world's best healthcare system with Obamacare. It's a Thanksgiving basket full of goodies-- including higher co-pays, deductibles and premiums for millions of Americans who subconsciously thought they liked their cancelled policies. It's comforting to know single men now have maternity coverage, liberals have mental health and behavioral care benefits, and all Americans--including nuns, priests, pastors, and rabbis-- have substance abuse coverage. Only a loving government would craft such a law--thank you.
Let us also give thanks to "government dearest" for protecting us from senseless liberties.
Under the rule of the Obama administration it's now self-evident freedom of speech and the right to peaceably assemble does not include having political views that differ from those of the government. If individuals or groups exhibit opposing views publicly, they will be subject to systematic harassment and intimidation by federal agencies such as the IRS or the FBI.
Government employees are not trusted by "government dearest" either. In October of 2011, the president signed an executive order which established a federal employee snitch program. It was described as an "insider threat and detection program" which demanded that employees report any suspicious behavior by fellow employees to their superiors. The government said, "Certain life experiences can alter a person's normal behavior and cause them to act illegally or irresponsibly." The Obama administration has prosecuted more whistleblowers for alleged leaks than all previous 43 presidents combined.
And thanks to "government dearest", investigative journalists now think twice before pushing freedom of the press too far. It was revealed earlier this year that phone records of twenty Associated Press reporters were secretly subpoenaed by the Justice Department. In another case, a Fox News reporter had his emails and personal phone records seized by secret search warrants, claiming the reporter could be a possible aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator under the Espionage Act. No charges were ever filled, but reporters were put on notice.
Liberal journalist, David Sanger of the New York Times, described this government as "the most closed, control freak administration I've ever covered."
And finally we can thank "government dearest" for the National Security Agency. We no longer need to save our texts, emails or phone records on backup systems. The government allegedly has all our personal digital information already stored for us. That's convenient--just in case we should come down with dementia and forget to pay our taxes.
I wonder if dementia is covered by Obamacare?
