Sequestration: Our Washington Crybabies Have Soiled Their Diapers!
Would someone please give these overgrown, spoiled brats in Washington a kick in their dysfunctional, irresponsible butts!
A year-and-a-half ago, Washington's best and brightest created sequestration--a self-imposed dirty diaper--and once again, President Obama and our cowardly Congress postponed their obligation to seriously begin solving our nation's debt and deficit problems.
Now they all sit in their Washington cribs kicking and screaming because no responsible adult statesman has stepped forward to clean up their mess.
American citizens have seen this childish behavior before. In 2010, we watched both parties scream "doom and gloom scenarios" for months before the two-year extension of the Bush tax cuts were passed only two weeks before their expiration.
In April of 2011, our precious little constituents reached another last minute deal to avoid a government shutdown, and just four months later, they predicted a national and world financial collapse if the debt ceiling were not raised.
Once again the American people were subjected to apocalyptic warnings as both sides drew a line in their sandbox, pointing their little fingers at one another and screaming at the top of their lungs for attention. Unable to compromise as adults, Barack, Johnny, Harry and their political playmates--just one day before the deadline--saved America again.
They picked six friends from each party and formed a new 12-member club called the "super committee." Their super plan--By November 23rd they would come up with proposals to reduce the deficit, and then vote on those proposals on Dec. 23rd--got to do it before Christmas, so they can go home and open their presents!
If they should fail to fulfill their assignment, then, yes, "sequestration" would automatically kick in on March 1, 2013. Our children in Congress think like most kids do; "But, gosh, that's over a year away. We're responsible adults. We'll never let that happen".
Well kids we're here now. You spent all your time and energy this past year whining about your latest manufactured crisis--the "Fiscal Cliff." Then, kicking and screaming, our Congressional kids and Club President, Obama, left their Christmas vacations to save America once again, 3 hours before the midnight deadline.
Unruly, irresponsible children sometimes have to learn a lesson the hard way. Maybe letting them sit in their smelly, sequestered diapers is actually a good thing.
But prepare yourselves, my fellow citizens. A new debt ceiling fight is looming!
