  • Interesting how the rock fractured so cleanly. Looks like it's worth a run over first chance I get.

  • Amazing! Those sheer walls fire the imagination. You can just imagine that the place would provide an impressive fortress, under different conditions.

  • Take the trail heading behind the informational sign for the shortest route to the rocky sights. We walked the trail backwards, going north of the entrance road. Pretty walk through some nice pine stands, but a longer way to the main rock formations. It was also sunken and torn up by heavy horse usage, so watch your step. The rock formations are some of the best in Southern Il.
