  • Wow!! Astounding history of our fair city. Great local human interest story. Give the man a raise, he is doing two jobs for the SEM.

  • Great article that obviously took a lot of work. I'm a history buff, and I enjoy all the articles and pictures by you, Sharon, and Fred. Keep up the good work.

  • I greatly appreciate your writing about my family. I stumbled onto this article and noticed that my grandfather was the last to comment, James R. He and my grandmother are still members of St. Vincient's church and attend mass regularly. I would also like to say that the proper spelling of our last name is LANSMON, that is the way that Joseph himself spelled the name and since he is the man who made the name up im guessing he probably spelled it correctly. I am not offended in the least by your misspelling or anyone else's I just had to clarify. Another unusual note about our family is that there has only been one son per generation since his death and I am proud to say I am only one of three Lansmon men alive on this planet. Those being J.R. Who commented above, my father W.R. And myself, William Joseph. Again thank you for your interest and ambition in writing about my heritage, of which I am extremely proud.
