Work progressing on new Dollar General

Fruitland residents will have a new place to shop when a Dollar General store, currently under construction, opens this fall. The new store is being built at 5735 US Highway 61 and will have 9,026 total square feet. The store will employ approximately six to 10 people, depending on need. Job applications are available online at www.dollargeneral.com, said Emily Weiss, Dollar General spokeswoman. Applications will be accepted at the store once it is open, she said...
