Hendrickson starts Murphy Business Brokerage ServicePosted Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at 9:25 AM
Hendrickson Business Advisors has spun off its business brokerage operations and will now offer comprehensive business brokerage services through Murphy Business and Financial Corporation.
Murphy is one of the largest and most successful business brokerage firms in North America, with brokers located throughout the United States and Canada specializing in businesses for sale, franchises, valuations and related services, said Jennifer Hendrickson of Hendrickson Business Advisors.
Craig Bohnsack and Tony Smee have joined Jennifer and her husband, Rhett Hendrickson, as business brokers for Murphy Business and will also serve as consultants through Hendrickson Business Advisors.
According to industry research, only 20% of businesses listed for sale ever actually sell. This abysmal closing rate is attributed to poor marketing, a lack of confidentiality and an unrealistic or unfounded selling price, Hendrickson said. About 90% of businesses that hire a professional business broker sell.
"We provide professional valuation and confidential marketing for the businesses we list which increases their chance of being sold by 350%," says Hendrickson.
Hendrickson Business Advisors has offered business brokerage services to the region since 2008.
