Jason Lindsey is an award winning Outreach Science Educator for Hooked on Science. Each year Lindsey performs science experiments at more than a hundred schools and community events. Lindsey's science segment "Hooked on Science" airs on television stations across America and has earned awards for outstanding science coverage.

Messy Morning

It was a messy morning for families in southeast Missouri. Hundreds of them attended the Messy Morning event at the Show Me Center. I got kids "Hooked on Science" by doing a messy experiment called soaring toilet paper. Activities were designed to celebrate the enthusiasm, creativity, and energy of kids.

Speaking of family friendly events...the Science Day committee will meet soon to plan the 4th annual Science Day event. We'll break another world record and I want to know your thoughts? How would you like to put southeast Missouri in the record books this year?

Jason, first of all, let me say, my family enjoyed "messy day", the kids had a blast, thank you for ur participation.

RE: records, perhaps with all the 'green' initiatives going on, u could go along those lines. perhaps the most recycling, cans collected, planting trees. explaining the harmful effects of 'polution' to our ecosystem. just some thoughts.
