Cape Girardeau, Missouri is in the newest Guinness World Records book. You'll find a picture and the details of the Cape Girardeau Science Day 2007 record-breaking event on page 122 of the book.

At Science Day 2007 the residents of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky united for science to launch the "Most Mentos and Soda Fountains" at once. A total of 973 mentos and soda fountains were launched breaking the previous record at that time. Since then, the Cape Girardeau record has been shattered.
