Democratic candidate Linda Sanders had her best fundraising month so far in her 27th District Senate campaign, but she remains far behind incumbent Republican Sen. Jason Crowell in available cash.
Sanders took in $5,130 from July 1 to Sept. 30, almost double the $2,775 she had raised previously. After expenses, she had $3,782 in the bank for the Nov. 4 election. Crowell, meanwhile, had $85,934 on hand as of about Sept. 1. Quarterly reports are not due until Oct. 15 and Crowell has filed his report yet. GO LINDA GO!!!!
I hope that you have been telling people in Crowell's Senate district of his vote and support for a bill in 2004 which the Republican legislature passed with the help of Jason Crowell and Rod Jetton, which would have put water meters on the water wells of rural farm families in Missouri.
There was such a howl from western Missouri about this bill, that the Republicans, after they passed it, brought it back into the legislature and re-did the bill and made it JUST FOR WESTERN MISSOURI, the counties that DID NOT WANT IT!!!
Jason Crowell was telling folks that they made this rural family water meter bill for the western counties because they WANTED IT. Ask yourself, who in their right mind would want someone to put a water meter on their well? You know darn well that at some point, that they are going to start reading the meter and charging you for the water from your own well. I don't believe that Crowell was at all truthful when he was nailed about that bill. The rural water meter bill would have put a water meter on your OWN water well, on your OWN property.
Property Rights activists in Missouri, especially, Russell Woods, and Ray Cunio, along with popular conservative talk show host, Derry Brownfield, were outspoken against the water meter bill.
You folks really need to take a look at Linda Sanders. She would be fair, represent us, and not vote for any goofy Water Meter bill for rural water wells, like Jason Crowell and Rod Jetton did.
We need Linda Sanders, Michael Winder, in the Missouri Legislature, and, Joe Allen in Congress, then, and only then will we have true representation of our interests.
