While U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson took part in Republican Party conference call Tuesday to talk down Democratic presidential nominee-to-be Barack Obama, she's not making any perdictions about the outcome.
Emerson took time for a quick interview after her speech to the Cape Girardeau Lions Club. During the talk, she noted that she correctly predicted the 2006 Democratic takeover of Congress. "I had a lot of calls beating up on me for being negative but I was just being honest." Taking back the House is out of reach for Republicans this year, said Emerson, who is seeking her seventh term in the Nov. 4 election. As to Obama versus Republican nominee-to-be John McCain, that result is cloudier, Emerson said. "No prediction," she said. What is your prediction Rudi?
Oh Yes, Jo Anne enjoys walking the line, just incase she would offend a potential voter. Come on Jo Anne, you can admit it. It's obvious you're republican, otherwise you wouldn't let the taxpayers and voters in your district go with out health care. The Presidency this year, your Congressional seat next time. *wink*
Some people may not have health insurance, but everyone has health care. Saying people don't have health care is a focus group inspired phrase but it is fundamentally dishonest.
Pretending that Representative Emerson is some parisan extremist is not just dishonest, it is laughable.
I guess this sentence, "Jo Anne enjoys walking the line, just incase she would offend a potential voter," is not a suggestion that Representative Emerson is a partisan extremist.
My bad.
