I'm on the front page!
We got this new video player, and I don't know how to embed video into my blog yet. Go look at me on the home page or the arts page. And look at the other videos, too. I do know how to send text messages now. To hundreds of people. SE Live, the Southeast Missourian and all its glory now has text alert capabilities. You can sign up now. Want to know who won the game? Sign up for your favorite high school sports text alerts. Want to know when severe weather alerts are in affect? Sign up for severe weather text alerts. We currently don't have entertainment alerts, but we're brainstorming for the perfect way to deliver what information you would want. So what information would you want? Would you want a text when a certain band was playing? Or would you want one from your favorite bar about who's playing there? What if concert tickets go on sale today, would you like a text alert? Chris Harris manages the feature sections in the Southeast Missourian. Those colorful, fun pages toward the end of the A section? That's her and her team. She works on Health, Home and Garden, SE Live, neXt, Religion, the Sunday Good Times section and the daily comics pages. She deals with everything from the flu and fitness topics to house projects and kitchen tips to the latest plays and art exhibits in town. You know: conversation topics. She uses this space to talk about what's coming up, what you're interested in and what she found yesterday. You can sum it and her up in one word: Random.
