Who remembers the Sylvania “Halo Light” television set? Lesem Tire Co. sold them in the 1950s. A TV set can be seen in the window and a sign is out front: Sylvania Movie Clear Television. Halo Light was described in a 1951 TV commercial. “Here’s the greatest television development since the big screen picture tube. Halo Light. It’s a soft frame of light around the screen to reduce that sharp contrast between the brilliant picture and the darker outside surrounding.”

  • I know someone that has a calendar from lesem tire dated 1948. They would like to know more about it and possibly sell it to a collector or maybe a family member. Just hate to see the history go to waste. It has a picture of war planes flying overhead and is in descent shape.
