Southeast Missourian, Dec. 5, 1957
When brakes are not well secured, this big truck load of hay, which had been parked Wednesday afternoon at the old Brown Owl restaurant spot on Highway 61, northwest of the city, started rolling and ended up in a shallow ravine on the west side of the highway near the Star Vue Theater. A portion of the truck body was demolished and considerable baled hay spilled. (Photo by G.D. Fronabarger)
