Broadway Hill snow 1961

Posted Friday, March 7, 2014, at 12:00 AM

Jan. 26, 1961 Southeast Missourian

Ice-coated and snowy inclines received attention early today. Here Cape street department crews apply cinders to Broadway, looking east from Lorimier street, while traffic inches up the hill behind the work truck. About three inches of snow fell. The river is seen in the center background. (G.D. Fronabarger photo)
