"One-Shot" Frony assembled the wacky-looking group of Central students for a picture. Then the photo-op developed into something more. He took another photo, below, which was published on the front page of the Southeast Missourian on May 22, 1956.
Central High School seniors had their day of fun Monday when they staged their pre-graduation stunt of Tacky Day. Dolled up in all sorts of get-ups, some representing comic book characters and others using their own ideas, the youngsters had a day of frolicking which started when they assembled for this picture and an impromptu square dance at the school's entrance.
