Feb. 8, 1956 Southeast Missourian

New drive-in mail boxes are two-way affairs. Acting Postmaster A.S. Reed demonstrates how one of the new drive-in mail boxes being installed here operates from a car, while Mrs. Shirley Ross uses the other side of the receptacle to deposit mail in the age-old sidewalk manner. The photo was taken at the southeast corner of Broadway and Fountain street. Missouri Utilities Company is in the background.
