Travelers Cafe, 299 North Kingshighway, was photographed by G.D. Fronabarger. It was in business during the late 1950s into the middle 1960s.
The 1960 Cape Girardeau city directory lists the owner as Mrs. Mary J. Sebastian.
Below, a 1955 Buick Century is pictured in front of the Travelers Cafe on Highway 61. Cape State Bank would be built on the property north of the restaurant. The hill to the west was removed for construction of the bank. The company is now US Bank.
