A Tale of Two Dictators

Most folks in the Ozark Foothills region of Southeast Missouri are staunch supporters of the 2'cd Amendment, so I thought the following information would be of interest to them.

Springfield, Virginia based Gun Owners of America has just released an analysis of the latest "gun grabbing" legislation to be introduced in Congress.

"What makes H.R. 45 troubling" according to G.O.A., "Is its sponsor and its timing.

Its sponsor is Congressman Bobby Rush -- a scion of the same super-corrupt Chicago political machine that produced disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich and President Barack Obama.

And as for its timing, it was introduced during the confirmation of Attorney General nominee Eric Holder -- the man who tried exploit the Columbine tragedy in order to pass gun licensing as Deputy Attorney General in the Clinton administration."

Gun Owners of America in its summary, suggests that…

- Veterans psychological records would no longer be off limits and that the FBI would be able to examine every statement ever made during a consultation to a psychologist or psychiatrist.

-The bill would make it unlawful to keep a loaded firearm for self-defense.

- Criminal penalties for up to ten years for violating this policy and unlimited inspection and regulatory authority. {I'm assuming this would apply to private residents as well}

-"Ammunition Accountability", which would literally outlaw ammunition in select states.

According to the GOA the bill is so dangerous that it could, "soon make gun ownership a thing of the past"

You can read the article in its entirety by clicking on the link below:

According to an article posted on the February 26,2009 CBS News website , Attorney General Eric Holder expressed a desire to reinstitute the Clinton -Assault Weapons and make it permanent.

President Obama and Attorney General Holder are trying to justify the latest "gun grab" by stating that it is needed to curb the rising crime rates in Mexico, again quoting Attorney General Holder from an article found on the March 4, 2009 Boston.Com website:

"Reinstituting a federal ban on the sale of assault weapons, which lapsed in 2004, "will have a positive impact in Mexico, at minimum."

A positive impact on Mexico?

I've got a better idea. Why not let the Mexican people clean up their own country. Mexican drug cartels have the means and the money to get the weapons they want from anywhere in the world, it doesn't have to be from the U.S. and if assault weapons are banned here,U.S. citizens on our Southern border will still be left vunerable to these invaders with no means to defend themselves.

A better idea would be to enforce the current immigration laws, and protect the U.S. border as prescribed by the Constitution, instead of pandering to illegal immigrants in order to make them dues-paying members in labor unions.

During the campaign there was much speculation as to whether or not President Obama was even a citizen of the United States. Obama's website www.fightthesmears.com released an image of his Certification of Live Birth.

This was supposed to put the rumors to rest, yet on October 26, 2008, World Net Daily.com published an article that stated:

"Although the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate has become a focus of intense speculation - and even several lawsuits - WND has learned that Hawaii's Gov. Linda Lingle has placed the candidate's birth certificate under seal and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances. The governor's office officially declined a request made in writing by WND in Hawaii to obtain a copy of the hospital-generated original birth certificate of Barack Obama"

My point is this; America has a President, whose own Constitutional legitimacy to his office has been questioned, threatening the Constitutional rights of millions of Americans, a president who wants to take your guns in order to make Mexico a safer country, a President that is willing to use his Chicago cronies in an attempt to outlaw ammunition and use confidential patient/ client records to keep veterans from owning firearms.

It is sad to think that thousands of Americans have given their lives to dispose of a dictator named Hussein in Iraq, only to have Americans willingly appoint a dictator named Hussein at home.

President Barack Hussein Obama

An interesting fact that you didn't' include is that HB 45 was included as part of Obama's first stimulas plan. Luckily, there were a few smart people that voted no. BTW Clint....WWJD?

Aww Shoot, the title was deceiving. I thought you were going to talk about a Doctor Who episode. A tale of two doctors.

-- Posted by Megalomania on Thu, Mar 5, 2009, at 7:55 AM

Yes , I saw the director of homeland security on 60 minutes spouting that garbage "if we banned assult weapons in the U.S. , Mexico would be safer".

The weapons used by the drug cartels in Mexico are fully automatic , not the type sold in the states semi-auto.

You stupidity knows no bounds does it? You realize that Obama's mother is a natural born United States citizen right? Being such, Obama is a United States citizen BY BIRTH! Honestly, if you would have paid more attention in civics class instead of reading hate literature you probably would have picked up on that, instead you like to question other peoples intelligence.

Oh and would you let the gun thing go and for once try and see it from another persons point of view, oh I don't know maybe the mother of children in a big city who go to bed to the sound of gunfire every night? No one is going to take away your hunting rifles, or shotguns for crying out loud, I honestly don't know what you people are so afraid of, especially since most claim to be god-fearing people. If that is the case why are you constantly afraid? O ye of little faith?

Ithica seems to have forgot about the lady in cape that was initially raped and beaten. Luckily the second ammendment prevailed cause she eneded up shooting that creep. BTW, you will never take my guns. Why don't u jst move to Canada if you so love socialism

The right to bear arms serves two purposes.

First is to allow individuals to protect themselves against criminals when the government is unable to protect them.

Second is is to allow individuals to protect themselves against the government.

There is no case, in all of history, of a genocide against a well armed citizenry.

Also, the thought that Mexican drug cartels are buying their weapons from the friendly neighborhood gun dealer on Main St USA is laughable at best.

The fact that citizens of this nation not only believe, but spread absurd lies like that is pathetic.

I would love to hang that picture in my living room. Where can I get a copy? It would look nice next to Hitler, Marx,Stallin and Chavez. It will be a daily reminder of why left wing, liberal socialists should be removed from this country.

-- Posted by gumbo road on Thu, Mar 5, 2009, at 9:20 PM

"Hitler, Marx,Stallin and Chavez"

Hitler, left leaning socialist? "Stallin"?

No one as stupid as you should ever be allowed to own a firearm. I pray to god you haven't reproduced.

Clint -

Let me know when someone ACTUALLY takes your precious guns away.

Let me know when someone ACTUALLY throws you in the gulags.

Until then, stop your whining. America used to be a great country, then people like you came along. All you do is **** & moan. Try living in Saudi Arabia you inbred hillbilly ahole.

-- Posted by FriendO on Fri, Mar 6, 2009, at 12:09 PM

Friend Oh...

I must have hit a nerve, America one its independence with God , Guns, Guts and Determination we are a country based on FREEDOM, which is God given and protected by the Constitution of the United States.

My guns are protected specifically by the 2'cd Amendment to the Constitution.

You "Friend O" seem to prefer a dictatorship or monarchy.

Why don't you go to Saudi Arabia and I'll stay right here.

Clint:

I'm a bit too lazy to rewrite my post today in your "Stars & Bars" comment section, so I just cut & pasted it again here. Just wanted to say thanks.

Well, you actually seem to have a pretty interesting if not provacative piece going on here too! I see you've managed to cause a little consternation among some of those gun-grabbing enthusiasts who have failed to learn from history, per G. Santayana (somewhat paraphrased), and go on to doom themselves by repeating it! What's so hard to understand here? Totalitarian socialists know full well that one of the first orders of business for controlling the populace is to disarm them...along with crushing any means to voice dissent; First Amendment comes to mind.

Perhaps I can offer a similar suggestion as I posted in S.O. today, to appease the anti-"assault weapons" advocates, especially those 'itching & moaning about the Big Lie that we in the U.S. can even get them to sell to those fun-loving drug cartels south of us. How about selling 'em "assault muskets", and sweeten the deal by throwing in some bayonets for a reduced bargain price?! Would that satisfy or confound the lefts' "living document" pathology regarding our Founding Fathers' intentions in the Second Amendment? Just a fun thought!!

Below - As posted on 6 Mar 09 in your "Stars & Bars" blog.

Clint:

Sorry, I've been a bit "out-of-pocket" for awhile, so maybe this comment is pretty well o.b.e.'d now. But I wanted to thank you anyway for your "Stars & Bars" piece. Once I came across it, I found it really enjoyable, not to mention nobody seemed to take issue with ya on the matter!

Come to think of it, perhaps I should cut/paste this up to one of your more current blogs. But thanks again though.

Herr:

Thank You but as of today I have severed ties with the Missourian. It seems that this article does not meet the "front page criteria" set by the publisher.

Clint:

It's a shame you've cut ties with the "SEMO'ian" (or more like they threw you under the bus), as I feel that your work is usually very good, whether I agree with every thing you say or not. This paper is driving good talent away because they've surrendered their spines to the subversive forces of the socialist left, and is in the process of rendering the First Amendment of what was our U.S. Constitution to merely used toilet paper. Like the GOP, this paper has submitted to the mentality of defeat and, therefore, I see no need for the Politburo (formerly known as Congress) to even bother ramming through the "(Un)Fairness Doctrine" to silence dissenting voices, conservative or otherwise.

If it'll make you feel any better, Clint, the "I'm offended" rabid leftist brownshirt wannabe crowd will not be satisfied until this entire nation is silenced and subdued. I'm surprised the suits have spared me from being banned as long as they have, because I won't even acknowledge the messianic "Dear Leader" by his legitimate name, as at least you have. The most mild moniker I've referred to him as so far is the (annoying?) "Essence of B.O.", and you probably don't want to see how I truly feel about him!!

The bottom line, I suppose, is that this nation is determined to commit national suicide; when those who have clamored for their own death wish finally get it, I'm not likely to grieve for them. With that said, good luck Clint.

Herr,

Again a very big Thank You for your thoughts and your support. I think it is safe to say that 150 years ago you and I would probably have been on opposing sides, that being said I take comfort in knowing that in the present, two people with such different backgrounds can stand together in the name of truth, freedom and justice.
