West Park Mall will welcome its newest store Sunday. Kitchen Collection will offer a variety of products including bakeware, decorative items and barbecue equipment.

Started 25 years ago, the company has more than 200 locations, with the closest in Sikeston, Mo.

This marks the second planned store opening inside the mall in November. As reported in an earlier column, Playmoors video game club plans to begin operations sometime next month.

According to Susan Godorov, spokesperson for Centro Property Groups that owns West Park Mall, seasonal stores planning to open for the holiday season inside the mall include Calendar Club and Hickory Farms. She said more announcements are scheduled to come soon.

And for all you fans of jolly old Saint Nick, be on the lookout for his arrival on Nov. 14.

As far as I know, Kitchen Collection is another of the seasonal stores in the mall. They were there the last two years, but only for the holidays. Are they staying this time? It'd be nice since Kitchen Gadgets & Gizmos is gone.

They weren't in the mall last year because it was 100% leased so there wasn't room. This year they got in early and plan on staying if the sales are high enough.
