I wonder if yesterday will be one of those times when you'll forever remember where you were the day you heard Michael Jackson died. I was driving back from Memphis last night when I learned Jackson had died of cardiac arrest. A radio station in the city famous for the King of Rock 'n Roll played for about 45 consecutive minutes songs from the King of Pop.

As a kid I remember watching Jackson portrayed on TV shows and MTV (when the station actually played music videos). One of my favorite arcade games was Moonwalker that featured Jackson and I've found an article from the Indianapolis Star that has some scenes from the video game you could check out. But Jackson owned his fair share of video games, including the Simpsons, NBA Showtime, Donkey Kong, Mortal Kombat and Star Wars Racer. Regardless of what you think about his last 10 years when he went downhill you have to admit the guy had a knack for the unusual.

Bayou Bar & Grill still open

Linda Wooten, who with her husband Bill owns the Bayout Bar and Grill in Pocahontas, contacted me this week to ask if I'd let you all know that contrary to what may have been misunderstood by the public, the restaurant is still open for business. The inland hurricane on May 8 tore the roof off the structure and closed the business for one day. However, Wooten said, the restaurant still had its original flat roof underneath the damaged one.

She said they now have replaced the damaged roof and remodeled the restaurant as well. New features include the a roof, ceiling fan and lights for its outdoor patio.

Bayou Bar & Grill is located at 6611 County Road 532 about five miles north of Jackson. The restaurant is open each day at 11 a.m. On Sunday through Thursday they're open until 10 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday through midnight. The phone number is 833-9999.

His death for our generation was like the death of Elvis for those of that generation. While his most recent occurrences may have been weird to say the least he was an idol of my generation. It is very sad to see the final results of his life. From fame to lame. An untimely demise leaving us to wonder would he have reinvented himself with his tour. Mr Jackson, RIP your life left an impression.

Please don't forget Farrah Fawcett! She's sleeping with Charlie and the Angels now!

I was more upset with Farrah and Ed McMahon passing away than I am about Michael. See ya you freak!!!!!

Oh, and no Brian, I will not remember for the rest of my life where I was when I heard that MJ passed away. I've forgotten already!!!!

I will remember though where I was when the WTC was bombed for the first time; where I was when the Federal building in OKC was bombed; where I was when the WTC was hit by terrorists, even where I was when the Challenger exploded on live TV, but this does not rank up there with the great tragedies of our times.

Ditto Cubby. All I remember is the Halloween shop a few years ago had masks that looked more like Michael Jackson more than Michael Jackson did.

First Mega informs us that Cubby is a lib, now you're basically calling him a cold hearted SOB. Which is it?

Michael, like so many stars, has been on a self destructive path for decades. How many other lives has he screwed up in the process of being King of Weird? Think of how raised his kids to be weird, slept with little boys, etc. Where were they people who cared about him?

So much talent that just went down the toilet. But no, I won't remember where I was.

Cycle, my kids were alarmed for find a forgotten Blue Moon in the fridge... I made sure they knew it wasn't mine, because I don't drink carbonated goat urine.

Um, I'm not an SOB nor am I a lib.....I'm just a normal person who thinks that MJ was a freak and he did some pretty disgusting things in his days. It's not like Michael is really dead anyway, he's just working with Elvis at Burger king in Kalamazoo. Get over it already!!!!!

As far as 'spending more time on the FARM', if that means drinking carbonated goat urine, then count me in. Nothing like a tall frosty mug of urine. But if I did that, wouldn't it make me a freak like Michael?

Peace and love my fellow freaks!!!!!

Super freak ditttos! I believe you. Mega was the one that accused you of being a lib, and who believes a word of what he says? The only fault I can find with you is that you like the Cubs.

Y'all can have all the carbonated FARM animal urine you can drink. I'll stick to the grown up stuff.

Meanwhile, I spent too much time today rolling naked in crisp $100 bills. I have multiple paper cuts. I'm off to soak in a tub full of coconut cream pies.

Just_Me,

Recent on-line polls suggests 99.9% of my fans believe me. Take it to the bank, Cubby is a closet lib, I've thought the same of you. lol

Yes, Meg. I'm sure you're polling data is accurate.

However, you only have 2 fans.

Cubby & I are far from closet libs, BTW. Also, coconut cream pies are very moisturizing & soothing.
