After over 23 years in business the antique shop Austin's of Alto Pass, located in the old grade school in Alto Pass, Ill., will be closing its doors. Owner Jan Austin told me the shop will close after a Nov. 28 to 30 open house. The open house will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 28 to 29 and noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 30.
As a thank you to its customers, Austin said the shop is offering a 50 percent discount on all items in the shop during the open house. "It has been our pleasure to serve you and we treasure the many friendships we have made over the years," Austin said. "We have no immediate plans to leave the area but are looking forward to experiencing Southern Illinois as the tourist and not the tourist destination." |
