Find your niche in life and do it
Find what you're good at and do it. Yes, YOU! Good evening and it's indeed evening and I'm just getting time to blog. Even though I am busy with many responsibilities, my true love is writing.
When I say I love writing you'd perhaps think. "Write about what." There's a difference. When you write, what genre are you writing in?. You'd think you had found your niche just knowing you like to write and are somewhat good at it.
Well that's not exactly true. Some people write advice columns, other writers write about romance or history. Before you even begin to blog you must have something to offer people and give them a reason to want to read what you write.
As I pondered what type of writing I like to do best and that I am the best at, I decided that my favorite genre is life, people, solving problems and how to persevere and to never give e up.
When I began writing about life's issues and experiences I decided that was where my niche in writing resided. I now write about solving life's problems, loving oneself and everything related to human feelings. I also write about psychological and philosophical subjects and view points.
Consequently, now, fortunately, people seem to clamor for more of my columns and books. I do not write fiction, or historical books because that is not where my interest and expertise lays. In other words I have found my present niche in writing human interest stories, columns and books. It is fun, never work or drudgery--that is, unless I'm extremely rushed.
Have you looked to find out what excites you and then investigate it to see what part of the niche fits you best and GO FOR IT? Don't think you can't have or do what you want. You just must put effort into discerning what it is that you truly want to do and then do your homework to see what you need to do.
Write me and tell me what your niche is or do you know? How did you discover your life's calling?
Take care and God Bless,
Ellen Shuck
