The Thinker
I have a statue sitting on my coffee table. It is made of very smooth rock and it's quite beautiful. The replica is a man sitting down with his chin leaning on one of his hands that protrude from the folded arm. He is in deep thought.
Good day and I'm glad to join you again today.
Thought is a thing that fascinates me. That's because what we think about all day is what we become. It is what our life turns out to be.
You might say, "Oh no, I've always had good and positive thoughts and look at my bad luck." You may believe that you're only thinking good thoughts but the subconscious may tell a different story.
You must be very careful what you think because, as James Allan promotes in the book "As a man thinketh," a man's life is what his thoughts make of it." There is something to be said for the power of positive thinking. If you think things will turn out to be advantages, it's a lot more likely to happen.
Scripture tells us that if we "seek, we will find and if we knock the door will be opened," Those passages touch all areas of life. If you genuinely want to experience a particular situation and you're willing to persevere in both your thoughts, followed by the produced actions, your coveted desire will become a reality. Never believe otherwise.
Janie wanted to be healed of a disease, yet she disregarded the doctor's orders and went her own way. She thought she wanted to be well, but her actions showed otherwise. She refused to live according to healthy guidelines. She died. She thought good thoughts but she failed to follow them with actions. She caused her own death.
That may sound extreme, but if you want a new automobile, yet refuse to work for the funds to purchase, your thoughts are not being followed by actions. You must think first, then act.
As I look at the statue of The Thinker on my table, I am reminded how important it is to think positively and then carry out your intentions.
Be very careful what you think because what you think will manifest itself.
Think back over your life and try to see where you may have erred by allowing thoughts of pessimism, meanness, or degradation to stay with you. Please comment and tell me if you have ever recognized the importance of what you think about all day long. Has that recognition made a difference?
I will try to blog more often, keep following.
Take care and God Bless,
Ellen Shuck
