What do YOU think makes you happy
Everybody has a different view of what will make them happy. It changes during life, too. Every day can bring events you're not expecting. Then you may have to alter what you expect happiness to be. You think everything is going smoothly and you're on top of things, but an unusual or sudden occurrence can change everything.
The solution to the ambiguity of life is that you have to find happiness within yourself. My mother, Blanche, always said that "you make your own happiness" Now, I totally agree with her. You must find the God space within and draw on its solace, especially when you're feeling down.
Regardless of what happens in life, you can be unshaken if you return to that peaceful hiatus within. Jesus said in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you always, even to the end of time. " The world, events and people will change, but your solid rock of peace need never move if you realize that God is always stable and there for you.
I could never survive if I did not take the teachings of Christ seriously because they make good common sense. Nothing can touch you inside, unless you allow it to. Throw your shoulders back and keep marching on with your life and in spite of how bad things may seem, what you see is what you perceive in your mind. Make sure you see the long-term results of the lessons you are learning through your trials.
Continue to be happy realizing that it's not always what you see on the outside that the most important.
Please comment and give me your opinion. Where do you find your happiness?
Take care and God Bless, Ellen Shuck
