OPEN MEETING SCHEDULED.....PUBLIC INVITED....
River City Players will be holding an open meeting on Wednesday, August 20, 6:30 P.M. in the Yacht club at Port Cape. Do you have an interest in your Community Theatre? Is so this would be the meeting to attend. Are your interests in the acting end or you may be interested in the behind the set activities. Either way come out and learn what RCP is all about. We are a volunteer organization. The board of directors, actors, and crew volunteer their time for the love of promoting theatre. We are a 501c3 non for profit organization with more than a 30 year history. We have 3-4 productions a year and auditions are open to you the public. We also have an endowed SEMO scholarship that we award each year. We are very proud of this! We are a member AACT, American Association of Community Theatre. RCP holds an annual awards party (Abbot Awards), our own Oscars. We are proud to work with other orginazations such as the Glenn House and the Summer Arts Festival. If you are interested in acting, directing, set design, lights and sound, publicity, stage managing, playwriting, costumes, make up, hair design and front of house make plans to attend this open meeting. There are no dues to become a member. We don't require experience but would love to hear about experiences you have had. The Board of Directors is a very active board as we participate in every production as we work each show and we are there for our directors, cast and the crew! Sounds interesting huh? Mark your calendars and come out for this open meeting. Bring any questions you may have and we will be glad to answer them. As always I will see you at the THEATRE!
