JUST THREE WEEKS AWAY.....

It is hard to believe that our 2012 Season is here and that we will be opening in just three weeks. Yes, three weeks. Our first show of the season is "Retro Radio", directed by Tana Howard. This is a recreation of the 1930's radio shows. Many of the same programs will be presented such as The Shadow, The Lone Ranger, Who's on First and much more. The jingles that will be sung by the jingle singers are orginal and were written by our director Tana. How exciting it is going to be to see how all of the sound effects are being done. This is sure to be a fun evening reliving the old radio shows of the 30's. I feel even though most of us were not alive yet in the 30's we have heard or seen enough about the importance of the radio and the family time it created back then. RCP is very excited to be stepping outside of the box and create a new experience for you, the community/patrons of River City Players. The show dates are March 1,2,7,8,and 9. All of our performances are at Port Cape, 19 N. Water St. here in Cape. The Dinner Shows are the 1,2,8,and 9 with a wonderful buffet prepared by Chef James. The doors open at 6:30 with dinner at 7:00 and the show at 8:00. If you are interested in the show only that is the March 7 date with doors at 6:30 and show at 7:00.
