NEWCOMER, NOT SO NEWCOMER.......
This will be the last of introductions of the cast and crew for our upcoming show "A Christmas Cactus." For the last couple of weeks I have been telling you about each and everyone involved in this production. This morning I would like for you to get to know Heather Themm (newcomer playing Cactus) and Larry Davis (not so newcomer playing Neville).
This is Heather's first time with River City Players. She was born in St. Charles, Missouri, but has lived in Cape almost her entire life. While in grade school and Jr. High she took some summer acting classes, and again for a semester in college. So while she has some acting experience, "A Christmas Cactus" will be her first major performance. Heather is married and has two children 7 and 5 years old. Currently she works for AmeriCorps, tutoring kindergarteners at area schools with the United Way. For the past several years she has dedicated her time to family as a stay at home mom! Heather says she feels very grateful and excited to have been so warmly welcomed by The River City Players. For her, this is an opportunity to step out of her comfort zone and pursue something that has always been an interest.
Now on to our not so newcomer, Larry Davis. This is his third production with us this year plus a bit during our first benefit auction! Larry began his theatre experience in high school musicals, with leading parts in "West Side Story," "Oklahoma," and "The Fantastiks" in addition to several one-act plays. Larry graduated high school in Union Grove, Wisconsin and is an Air Force veteran. He has lived in Illinois, Texas, Mississippi, Colorado and Arkansas prior to moving to Cape Girardeau. He is the Chief Air Traffic Controller at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. If you want to come and watch these two actors show off their talent then you need to make reservations NOW! Our dinner show dates are November 9, 10, 16, and 17 with our show only on November 15. All of our productions are at Port Cape in the Yacht Club. To reserve your table call 573-334-0954. This is suitable for all ages and a great time will be had by all. Oh, did I mention the outstanding buffet that is served at our dinner shows? As always I will see you at the THEATRE!
