VETERANS TOGETHER AGAIN.........
In our upcoming production of "A Christmas Cactus" we are proud to have a couple of veterans of RCP involved. They are Tana Howard, playing Adelaide and Mike Craig, playing Windsor. Names may sound familiar to you and I am going to re-introduce or introduce them to my readers.
Tana is a native of Cape Girardeau and began a life-long love of acting by joining ACT I,II,and III, Cape's original Community Theatre, in 1973. Her first role was Tigger in "House at Pooh Corner." She joined the Red Dagger Drama Club at Cape Central High School and then the theatre department at SEMO. Between semesters she worked Summer Stock productions and after graduation she moved to Lafayette, LA and on to Austin, TX where she continued doing dinner community theatre. Tana has also been involved in several commercials. Most recently she appeared in the movie Dark Road and other local films. Her favorite role in her career is Ariel in "The Tempest." Playing Shakespeare is her passion and doing dialects is her guilty pleasure. She has been back in Cape for 22 years now and works as a legal secretary at the Remley Law Firm. Also keeping her busy is taking care of her son and two cats and indulging in as much theatre as possible. She encourages our patrons to enjoy the food and the show. Laugh until your faces hurt and remember-RCP takes donations.
Mike Craig is a life long resident of Jackson and a graduate of Jackson High School. He is married to a wonderful woman who gives him the time to devote to River Citiy Players. He has been performing in one fashion or another for a lot of years now. He has sung with barbershop groups and the Heartland Pops. Since Mike started with RCP he has been in six plays and has Directed two of our productions. Work and other considerations took Mike away from the stage for over a year, but now is back to acting. His true passion is being onstage and admits that he is just a ham who loves every minute of it. Welcome back Mike!
"A Christmas Cactus" is a mystery comedy and is suitable for all ages. Our Dinner Show dates are November 9,10,16,and 17. Our Show Only is on Thursday, November 15.For reservations call Port Cape @573-334-0954. Please come out and support your Community Theatre on this our last show of the Season.
