NEW BLOOD, NEW FACE STEPS ON STAGE.......

River City Players is very excited to have a new face join us on our opener of the 2012 season, "Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean", Brian Hopkins who is playing Joanne. Brian is very excited to be participating in his debut performance with us. He is a Southeast Missouri State University alumnus and is employed by JCS wireless in Cape Girardeau. Brian has been involved in live stage entertainment, primarily in nightclub venues across the United States for over 20 years creating his own character persona and stage performances. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to expand upon this prior experience by working with the River City Players to bring the role of Joanne to life. The transition from a self-created role or character to one that has been imagined and created by another artist/author is a big step. Brian takes this transition very seriously out of respect for the author/creator of the play and hopes to take this step successfully with the help and support of the other cast members and production team.
