LET ME INTRODUCE YOU........Part 4
Today I would like to introduce you to a person that many people will recognize his name. Bob Clubbs. You are asking yourself right now "how do I know that name?" It is because Bob is the speech and theatre teacher at Jackson High School. Bob is excited to make a return to the stage. His only recent acting experiences have been filling in as last-minute understudy for his students. Bob's experiences with theatre began in his own high school days at Malden, then during undergraduate studies at Southeast Missorui State University and graduate work at Western Illinois University. His most important roles to date are The Husband with his co-star Brooke Hilderbrand Clubbs and Daddy with the spirited cast of Eva (8), Eli(5), and Lily(2). He would like to thank his parents for supporting him and loving him every step of the way. He is also grateful to the great teahers he emulates daily, expecially Salina Henson, Dennis Seyer, Sharon Bebout Carr, and egla Hassan (the "e" in egla is purposefully lowercase). The talents of Bob come through shining brightly in this production. Reason being, (wait for it), Bob is playing the character of Gladys. Yes that is correct RCP is doing it again only this time it is a man playing a woman unlike last years show where a woman played a man. Bob has you hooked the instant he walks onto the stage with this character. Gladys is well known in this southern town (out in the middle of nowhere) and everyone knows that she likes her Jack Daniels just a little too much. If you want to see true talent then this show is a must for you. Bob will have you falling back in your chair and reaching for a tissue to wipe your eyes from the laughter that he will bring to each and everyone that attends this performance. "Faith County" by Mark Landon Smith and Directed by Andrea Shovan has six performances for you to choose from. Opening weekend is May 6 and 7. These are dinner shows which is a prime rib buffet. Then on Mother's Day, May 8, is our dessert Matinee. The show only is on Thursday, May 12 with two more dinner shows on May 13 and 14. Now is the time to make your reservations by calling Port Cape at 334-0954. Don't miss out on what is going to be a show that people will be talking about for a long time. A big THANK YOU Bob Clubbs for bringing Gladys to life!
