WHO DAT? (part 6)
When preparing for a production in River City Players there are so many more people needed than just the actors that audition for a part. I am talking about the crew behind the scenes. I will be introducing you to these people this week. Today I am blogging about Brenda Ferguson who is not new to RCP. Brenda is excited to continue her work with RCP. She was the assistant director and also stepped into the role of Aunt Ezzie in "Ransome of Red Chief." She appeared as Ruth Bloom in "Charming Billy." Her work as stage manager in "Getting Sara Married" and "Make Me a Match" led to the unsung Hero Award at the January Abbott Awards for the 2009 season. Brenda and her husband, Jim, moved to Cape from Blytheville, AR three years ago. She acted in various roles with her church there and was a member of the community theatre group "Act 21." She loved performing as Aunt Tilly in their production of "It's a Wonderful Life" and was the understudy for Clairee in "Steel Magnolias." Brenda enjoys scrapbooking, cross-stitching and spoiling her four grandchildren. It is for certain that Brenda is valuable to RCP and is always so willing to help in any aspect that she is asked. Please make reservations to see our last show of the season "The Crazy Time" written by Sam Bobrick and directed by Debbie Barnhouse. The Dinner show dates are Novemember 5,6,12,and 13 with the Show Only November 11. Call Port Cape at 334-0954 and reserve that table now.
