A NEW LOOK......

If you haven't been down to Port Cape in the last week or so, please do a drive-by on the north side of the building and there is a new look. Yes, that is correct. The new marquee sign is up and is advertising our show that will be opening this coming Saturday, June 5. This was a joint effort between River City Players and "Doc" Cain, owner of Port Cape. After discussions between the two it was decided that a Marquee would be of great use for not only the Port, but for River City Players. We do alot of different kinds of advertising for our shows, but beside fliers posted around the Port there was no other way to promote our show that takes place right there. Just in case you don't see the marquee, here is the information you will need if you are interested in attending "The Ransom of Red Chief." Our dinner show dates are June 5,11,and 12 for a cost of $30. The show only date is Thursday, June 10 for a cost of $12.00. This year we have added a matinee. It will be a dessert bar Matinee for a cost of $15.00. So you see there is something for everyone. So call Port Cape now at 334-0954 and make your reservations before the shows are sold out.

  • Parker if it bothers you so much, why don't you purchase all of downtown and pay for all of the buildings to be restored? Good grief. Some people will complain about anything. Way to take a positive blog and turn it into something "tacky".

    Thanks to Doc and the River City Players for putting up the marquee so that I can stay informed about what events are taking place at Port! I think it's great :)

    Port Cape was a charming building, one of the few that remains without the tackiness. Or was.

  • I love how people use "I'm just sharing my opinion", as an excuse to be an @$$. For someone who is so concerned with what is "tacky", perhaps you should think twice before you post a "tacky" comment on a very pleasant blog.

    And again, if you have a problem with it... make an offer to Doc Cain, then you can do whatever you want with Port Cape. But until then... let the man do what he wants with HIS building. Good day.
