  • Wonderful post, Bobbie! Mine have been Goldie, Eddie, and now Lucky!

  • Beautiful poem, and it is very appropriate for me today. Two years ago today my dog Smokey, age 15 1/2, was called home. She was a very special dog and I miss her every day.

  • Godspeed, Smokey - she definitely left her paw prints on/in your heart. The years soften the loss but it never goes away. Thank you for sharing.

  • Liccorice, pepper, jasper, max, sugar, harley, sambo, willie, All were a blessing. As a few in my herd age the words above brought comfort. A dogs biggest fault is none of its own. They simply don't live as long as we wish.

  • No, they don't live as long as we wish. I'm glad the poem brought you some comfort. It certainly did me.
