Thank You!
I need and want to thank everyone who helped me and the dogs of Silverwalk Hounds during my surgery and recovery in December. Many people stepped forward to foster, donate funds for boarding, drive me to and from Barnes, and pray. I feel so much better; I didn't realize how poorly I've felt for two years until after my surgery. It took a while to realize this: a true demarcation between illness and wellness.
Thanks to Alice, Susan, Courtney, Bill of Busch Kennels, the staff at LaCroix Pet Hospital, Cheryl, Rochelle, my neighbors, my sisters Denise and Nancy, my colleagues at St. Francis Medical Center, and people who prayed and donated treasure. I know I've missed names; forgive me and KNOW you are greatly appreciated.
We are all back home and changes have already occured: Sydney and Lemon Drop are adopted; Cyrano Beagle is entertaining God with his incredible nose; Peanut is in heat (oh, joy - she has mammary tumors so I can't spay her); and 4 new dogs are welcomed - Denali, Ivan Michael (I.M.), Wyatt, and Keen. I'm able to work more hours and still feel good - thank you, thank you.
