Blessings to you in the Holiday Season - Woof!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have so much for which to be thankful and celebrate. Sunday marks the beginning of Advent, the month long preparation for Christmas and the coming of the Christ Child. Thursday, December 2, is the first day of Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights. Kwanzaa this year is December 26 - Jan. 1, the African-American and pan-African holiday. I pray we all, here and world-wide, slow down, think, and celebrate our heritages, our beliefs, our practice of doing good.
I am celebrating Jedi's Thanksgiving time with his family. He is back till Christmas but he did well - needs to learn his house manners but he had not yet lived in a home before, just here at Silverwalk. While he IS in my home, it is not like being in his own home with more strict rules, regs and much more individual love :). You go, Jedi - the Force is indeed with you.
As most of you know by now, I have scads of dogs here for adoption. I am at a loss to explain why my adopting Justus makes me so excited. I think he rounds out my personal pack of two tweenie Dachshunds, Seymour Phillip Hoffman and Danny Quinn, Annie Beagle, Sheila Sheltie, and Margie the Mutt Puppy. Sigh. I have gifted myself. Go and do likewise :). Check out the dogs for adoption at Silverwalk, Safe Harbor, Bollinger County and HSSEMO. Give yourself some love this holiday season - and know any money you put out will be returned with devotion & blessings many, many times over.
