Really Fun Fundraisers Benefit local Animals and help you be ready for the Holidays!
The seasons of giving are upon us. While we remember our human families and friends, let's benefit our furry friends:Thursday evening, Oct. 28, saw the inaugural Homes for Hounds Howl O'Ween Bash at Port Cape with the Ivas John band and others playing and jamming great music along with the incredible food from the Port, a silent auction and decorations for the Halloween season to benefit the dogs at Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary in securing a more permanent roof over their heads.
Friday, October 29 (today) - Come socialize with the Humane Society from 6 PM to 8 PM at Annie Em's. Meet some of the adoptables while you shop! Annie Em's will be donating 20% of their evening sales to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri! Come show your support for Annie Em's and the Humane Society. Annie Em's, 40 N. Main Street, Cape Girardeau, MO.
Saturday, Silverwalk will be at Busch Pet Product's first annual Howl O'Ween Party at 121 S. Broadview, #5. I am bringing Lady Bug: she is a Beagle who loves to fetch, is housebroken and ready for a new home!. We will join the Kiss a Bull booth, Safe Harbor and a photo booth. Stacy will have treats and cider for the humans, store bargains for their canines, felines and equines along with the festivities. So come on out, the weather is predicted to be gorgeous! Ten o'clock in the morning to three o'clock in the afternoon. Let's rock!
November 6, a Saturday, Petstock will be here to benefit the new "warehouse" and our local rescues supported by Rainbow Ranch in Morse Mill, MO. Debi Baker is now managing Shelter Alliance - she helps over 300 rescues here in the southern MO alone with supplies and food - all free. They need a larger building in which to store it all, though. Debi and friends are coming with a talk and visit from Missouri Ape and Primate, training demos, Pet contest, local adoptable rescue animals (ahem - yes, Silverwalk will be there). Greeting cards, jewelery, homemade dog treats and more! A blessing of the animals, singing and story telling by the magical recording artist Georgy Rock !!!! (go to Georgy Rock.com ) This will be at the arena Park 4- H building - see the flyer here!
