More of Katey
Regarding my last post about blind very large Katey and her being an outside dog. That lasted all of maybe two days. First, she started coming into the breezeway. Very good - it was heated, I had a dog bed set up for her and she could stay warm with a large contingent of the pack during the night. It is also pretty simple - not much she, who cannot see, could get in trouble. WELL, the next thing I know, Katey with the radar nose has, on her own, come up the four stops into the house proper, is checking things out and being more careful than almost any sighted hound I know. The former breeder female has made herself first into a pack dog, then into a house dog - using the same type of dog bed in the house as she had in the breezeway. I introduce what I may not have known before - snoring Katey:
I hope soon to have more varied photos but this is the best I have now - and I think she is pretty sweet especially when little Margie and Seymour sleep on the bed. She stands "looking" at them, then lays on the bare floor next to the bed. I wish you all a Katey in your lives.
