It takes all kinds.....
Today was kind of a lazy day as I missed properly setting my alarm to get up in time to get to my class in St. Louis. It starts at 7:45 AM. Much guilt and more regret as I was really looking forward to it....
After doing some household chores I sadly neglected, I decided to watch a new DVD, "Wendy and Lucy." Good grief, you say, WHAT does this have to do with pets?! You, my friends, have not met Scout, an English Coonhound who is also an audio/video phile. I kid you not. It started with YouTube posts being sent to me. Any time I opened one, Scout was dancing at my side, trying to get at the computer. Hmmmm.....so I somehow found a contest which was offering a free CD specifically made for dogs. It was done by PhDs! Yep - and Scout won. So, he now has his own CD - "Squeaky Deaky." Loves it.
Then I got TV back. Hadn't had it for a year or more; didn't particularly miss it but do enjoy a show now and then. Scout loves Animal Planet and fashion shows. He is a fashionisto. Now, no matter what reason I may have for sitting in my recliner, Scout's reason is to watch TV.
Not being very handy with gadgets, I can't get my DVD player to work with my TV. So, to watch "Wendy and Lucy," I used my compact DVD portable player. Blew Scoutie Pie's mind. He looked at it, than at the TV, then couldn't figure how to GET at it, came round (he tries to eat or kiss the dogs on the screen). He truly follows the dogs along, whether or not they change size. He can be very entertaining.
So, Scout and I enjoyed the film, he had the portable player figured out by the time it was half way done. Scout, by the way, is looking for a good home, probably one with a large TV and HD.....you can see him and his TV video at Silverwalk Beagle & Hound Sanctuary website - click HERE for his listing.
