Project Vote Smart: 156th District flier "misleading"; "outrageous"Thursday, October 30, 2008
A campaign flier paid for and distributed by the Missouri Republican Party in the 156th District is a "misleading" use of information from a candidate survey that should never have become part of political advertising, a spokeswoman for Project Vote Smart said Wednesday. The flier targets Democratic candidate Michael Winder and accuses him of The flier cites Winder's responses to the Project Vote Smart Political Courage Test. Project Vote Smart wants candidates to be free to express themselves and sets a policy of not allowing the results of its surveys to be used in partisan advertising, said Adelaide Kimball, spokeswoman for the organization that lists former U.S. Sen. George McGovern and the late U.S. Sen. Barry Goldwater among its founders. "The Missouri Republican State Committee has attacked Michael Winder, Democratic candidate for Missouri State House District 156 with information they know to be false, and they have used Project Vote Smart's name to give their accusations credibility," Kimball wrote in a news release. In an interview, Kimball said it is the second time this year that the Missouri Republican Party has broken Project Vote Smart's rules. "It is completely false and it is outrageous to cite us as the source of information on the flier," she said. In the 2006 candidate survey, Winder said he would support "slightly increasing" income taxes for people earning more than $75,000, "slightly increasing" sales taxes and "slightly increasing" corporate taxes. He also said he would "slightly decrease" income taxes for people earning less than $75,000, property taxes and taxes on motor vehicles. Winder did not respond to the 2008 survey. Neither did his Republican opponent, Shelley Keeney of Marble Hill. Republicans are pouring money into radio advertising that uses the same information. Project Vote Smart issues two levels of news release when its information is used, Kimball said. If the information is accurate, the user is reminded that the organization doesn't want its survey information used in political ads, she said. "If they twist or manipulate it, then we issue a harder one," she said.

Thou shall not bear false witness against they neighbor.
The Republican Party is in violation of this commandment. Nor for the first time, either, in this election and in this race.
IN CASE YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN... HERE IS WHAT ROD JETTON and HIS STOOGE... SHELLEY KEENEY THINK OF FOLKS IN THE 156TH...
From February... pass this along on your email lists, and call your friends.... it is from the Southeast Misssourian..
"Jetton: Lazy Missourians could learn from Mexicans

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — A lot of lazy Missourians, including many in Southeast Missouri, could benefit from adopting the work ethic of Mexican immigrants, House Speaker Rod Jetton said Thursday.
Jetton, speaking to publishers, editors and reporters at the Missouri Governor's Mansion, made an example of Wayne County residents in his 156th Missouri House District. In 2004, an employer who considered moving to Wayne County, which had one of the highest unemployment rates in the state at the time, was able to attract only three applicants, Jetton said. The jobs weren't great — the pay was about $8 an hour — but the chance to ******* government assistance should have been attractive, he said.
"We have a shortage of people who want to go out and bust their tails and do the jobs," Jetton said.
Jetton made his remarks when asked about his statement made to Republicans in Springfield, Mo., that he would like to "trade some of our people for some of the Mexicans who work so hard."
He didn't back away from that remark. "If we can find a way to trade them, I would trade them in a heartbeat," Jetton said."

The problem with what Jetton said about southern Missourians.. Wayne Countians in particular, is that it was all a lie by Rod Jetton to get attention.
From another Southeast Missourian article...
http://www.semissourian.com/...
JETTON said that only THREE people in Wayne County applied for $8.00 an hour jobs at Fine Labs... when in truth, over 300 had applied... JETTON really attacked Wayne Countians as lazy, welfare, hand-out drags on society, but he lied... there were over 300 good Wayne Countians who applied.
From the Southeast Missourian...
"The example I used about the company coming to Wayne County was wrong. I have now learned there were 300, not three, people who applied for the jobs from Fine Labs"
Rod Jetton got caught in a lie. http://www.semissourian.com/...
For globalists like ROD JETTON and SHELLY KEENEY, they like to make the fat cat Wall Street bankers rich by off shoring our jobs to Communist China and Communist Vietnam, then take shots at us for having no jobs and some of our citizens having to be on Welfare.
"For many in our area and around our state, welfare and unnecessary medical claims have become a lifestyle," he said in the statement. "These are the people I was describing. Many of us get up each day and go to work and pay our taxes, while they wait by the mailbox to get a check. I think we all get tired of supporting some of these 'Lazy Missourians.'"
Saying that Missourians on public assistance could learn work ethic from Mexican immigrants was not an endorsement of illegal immigration, Jetton said. "
Rod Jetton knows a thing, or, two about welfare. He was on welfare while he was a college student.
Jetton said that he wanted to trade Wayne Countians for Mexicans, because he was consulting for Mitt Romney who was in favor of illegals, so, Jetton took a swipe at the good people of Wayne County to try to make his pro-illegals position seem reasonable. JETTON LIED... do you want his STOOGE, SHELLY KEENEY to take his place?
"So what caused Jetton's immigration views to change from 2006 to 2008? "
"Maybe the answer lies in a Dec. 31 St. Louis Post-Dispatch article that stated Jetton was "earning $6,000 a month on the payroll of GOP candidate Mitt Romney." In that article, Jetton said, "I wish it were more money."
Vote for yourself...Don't accept a ROD JETTON STOOGE... Shelly Keeney... Vote for MICHAEL WINDER!
What voters in the 156th need to keep in mind is the opinion that so-called Republicans like Rod Jetton and his stooge, Shelly Keeney have of them.
Has everyone forgotton how Rod Jetton viciously attacked the workers of Wayne County, called the lazy, welfare scum and wanted to trade them for Mexicans? Rod Jetton lied... he lied, and when he was confronted with the facts that hundreds of Wayne Countians had showed up for those few low paying jobs, he really didn't apologize to them, the danced around it. Have you all forgotten that?
Michael Winder is a good man. He is a worker. When you elect him to represent you in the 156th, he will work as hard for you, as he has to support his own family. We need to stop these high dollar, globalist, Rhino Republicans from controlling our state legislative government. When you vote for Michael Winder, you will be voting for you in the 156th, and in a way, for the rest of us, because Michael Winder is the kind of representative that we all need in southern Missouri.
Shelley Keeney is is stooge of Rod Jettons. She is Jetton's office girl, yet, she is trying to run away from Rod Jetton now that folks have a bad taste in their mouths over him. What does that tell you about Shelly Keeney? She is the puppet of these scumy RHINO Republicans who have taken over the Republican party in Jefferson City, and made life harder for good Republicans and all of you in the 156th.
She thinks about Wayne Countians, and the rest of you in the 156th, just like Rod Jetton did. Rod Jetton was a principal supporter and mover and shaker in the Republican passage of the Rural Family Farm Water Meter Bill in 2004. Just ask the folks in the southwestern counties about that one. They formed property rights groups to fight it, and have successfully fought it wherever the Republicans allowed them to vote on it over there. Just ask Derry Brownfield. Of course, our own stooge KFVS TV didn't say a thing about the bill, because they were covering up that bill because Jason Crowell and Rod Jetton were the big pushers on getting water meters on rural farm wells. Remember that when you vote on November 4th. Vote for Michael Winder and Linda Sanders, and let's put a stop to these backdoor shenanigans that Rod Jetton, his stooge, Shelley Keeney, and Jason Crowell have been pulling in Jefferson City.

Thank you Mr.Keller for posting the truth about this. For a "MORAL" group, "Republican Party". They have proven once again that the know all to well how to lie.
When the treasure of Mrs.Keeney was informed about this mater, her reply was very rude and stated Mrs. Keeney didn't know anything about this. "Really!" So you don't know what your own party is doing?
This once again gave Mrs. Keeney the chance to be up front with everyone about who she worked for. (Rod Jetton}, she still won't tell anyone this information.
Up until 09/24/08 Mr. Jetton was listed as treasure on this day she changed to "Dr.Beverly Peters" and listed Rod as her deputy treasure.
The Mo. Republican party has done this twice now! Printed information that was know to be a lie...
You want to talk about morals....
In the words of the former "Nell Carter", (Give me a break).
