Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden, will address supporters Saturday morning in Cape Girardeau before a day of door-to-door canvassing by volunteers, according to details posted Thursday on the Obama for President website.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the Laborers International Union Local 1104 and 8206 headquarters at 773 Enterprise Drive. Volunteers will begin three hours of door-to-door campaigning beginning at 11 a.m.

"Dr. Biden will be in town to speak to supporters about the upcoming election as well as send off canvassers to go door-to-door speaking with undecided voters about why Barack Obama is the change we need," an announcement on the website www.barackobama.com.
